Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Best Doctors was founded in 1989 by physicians affiliated with the Harvard Medical School to provide expert medical consultation services. Today, Best Doctors provides its services globally to more than 20 million people, serving large employers, insurance plans, government, and other groups in more than 30 countries.
Lloyd Grey has been working with the Best Doctors global team for the last four years on the development of dynamic branding and graphic design solutions. In mid 2011, the Senior VP of Strategic Growth Initiatives for Best Doctors, Gabriela Perez Hobson delivered us our biggest challenge yet. Ms Hobson needed us to develop a user friendly series of interactive pre sales, client engagement/retention and program usage maintenance tools for the global rollout of a major new product offering for the organisation – Global Capability Services.
The objective was to position Best Doctors as a leader in the health management and wellness arena, accurately highlight their medical expertise and showcase their cross cultural relevance. The tools needed to be engaging, dynamic, have the ability to quickly convert time poor decision makers within Fortune 500 firms and most importantly secure high net worth sales for Best Doctors.
The recommendation from LGD was that an App was the most appropriate vehicle to achieve these organizational goals and bring those messages to their audiences in an energized, creative and highly visual way.
We incorporated the current Best Doctors logo suite into a new elevated look and feel and partnered with Brisbane’s Cutting Edge – a leading global digital firm to deliver the functionality components.
Lloyd Grey and Best Doctors collaborated very closely to bring this critical business tool to life. The 14 hour time difference was no barrier as we scheduled late night and early morning catch ups to ensure we delivered on our promise to give Best Doctors an enduring tool that would create growth and deliver the Best Doctors “wow” to their prospects and customers. We developed a graphic language that made using and understanding the tool simple and pleasurable.
The App is now live and being used as the primary tool to communicate the Corporate benefits of engaging with Best Doctors. Plans are in place to add to this suite of digital visual business development aids with other digital product in development as we speak.
