The text Floating Creativity – Working Shoulder to Shoulder with an illustration of a globe and funnel by Lloyd Grey Design Work is currently underway to bring our beloved studio back to tip top condition after we suffered major damage to our ground floor in the January floods. The team has made the best out of working shoulder to shoulder over the last six months on Level One, and by early August our new lower level studio environment should be up and running – brighter and better than ever. The team will enjoy a brand new, spacious work environment that will include a new break-out creative space, especially set aside for brainstorming, mind mapping, quiet thought and collaboration.

A huge thank you to all of you who rolled up your sleeves and helped us out after the waters receded early in the year. Your efforts with mops, shovels and muscle were so valuable to us and it showed us yet again how lucky we are to work with amazing companies filled with great people.

Premier's Design Award LGD Director, Nicki Lloyd, has been recognised for her enormous contribution to the Queensland design landscape by being announced as the winner of the Queensland Premier's Design Award at an award ceremony held in Brisbane on June 23. This is a huge honour as the award recognises the influence Nicki has had on the business, lifestyle and innovative potential of our state through her practice of design-led thinking.

Giving back | Raising Funds for the Homeless A NIGHT ON THE TILES (LITERALLY)

On Thursday, June 16 Lloyd Grey's General Manager, Serena Beirne, joined 100+ other Queensland business leaders who slept rough at SouthBank's Suncorp Piazza to raise funds for Australia's homeless. Nationally over $4.5m was raised for St Vincent de Paul Society's work to provide programs and shelter for our nation's homeless with $540k raised in Brisbane alone. Lloyd Grey was delighted to support Serena's efforts as she personally raised just over $2,000 in one week to help out.

Good on you Serena for doing your bit to help and a special thanks to all the Lloyd Grey clients who sponsored Serena's CEO Sleepout efforts.
